Newborn Baby Christmas Quilt Featuring Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny and Robin Playing in the Snow

Aisne Naomi Platt welcomes you to her shop, I like to work with patterned cotton fabrics, ribbons, trimmings, felt and buttons to create beautiful things to share.

This newborn baby quilt features Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny and Robin having fun in the snow and playing with the snowman at Christmas time. It has been handmade in my sewing room at home in Cornwall, UK. It is made from 100% cotton outer and inner layers and bias binding edging. The internal wadding fabric is made of polyester.

This quilt is ideal to use as a bed cover for a newborn baby’s bed, or pram or as a knee blanket for a pushchair. Either way, it's a very special piece that can be loved and cherished and handed down from generation to generation to be treasured as a lovely family heirloom.

The quilt top is made up of cotton squares featuring Peter Rabbit and friends. The blank fabric squares are pale blue and white polka dot and the other blanks are in pure white cotton featuring a printed floral pattern also in white. The inner layer is made of pure cream cotton. The bias-binding edging fabric is Nordic blue. The inner padding wadding is made from polyester which will keep baby warm and snuggly.

The quilt measurements are approximately 58cm/22.5in wide and 76cm/30in long. Each square is approximately 8.5cm/3.5in sq.

I recommend washing at a medium temperature machine wash with a gentle spin and line or tumble dry.
