I like to work with patterned fabrics, ribbons, trimmings, felt and buttons to create beautiful things to share.
My birds on a wire decorations are handmade in my sewing room at home in Cornwall, UK.
This decoration is made of six plump little birds in pales blues and white cotton material each bird has a hand sewn wing in a contrasting felt with sequin detail. They each have a button eye of a contracting colour and beautiful blue and lilic ribbon tail feathers secured with a button. These details are on both sides of the bird so that the decoration can be admired from all angles.
The little birds are threaded onto embroidery silk separated with a mixture of blue, silver and glass beads with a little brass bell at the end.
The decoration is approximately 80cm/31 inches long and 10cm/4inchs wide, including hanging loop.
The birds are filled with polyester wadding that conforms to British Safety Standards.
Spot cleaning with mild soap is recommended.
These birds are for decoration and are not recommended as toys.
