I like to work with patterned fabrics, ribbons, trimmings, felt and buttons to create beautiful things to share.
My hoop mobiles are handmade in my sewing room at home in Cornwall, UK.
This mobile is made of a mixture of felt butterflies and flowers threaded onto silk embroidery cotton and attached to a hoop made of natural materials. They also feature tiny mirrors that reflect light.
Each mobile has three strands of loveliness. The felt butterflies have tiny patches of cotton applique on each wing with added sequin detail.
The flowers are made of a number of layers of contrasting felt with hand sewn embroidery and a button detail.
These details are on both sides so that the mobile can be admired from all angles. Each stand also features pom-poms of complementary colours and ends with a lovely tiny reflecting mirror in heart, diamond and circular shapes and three wooden beads also in complementary colours.
This mobile is made up of light and dark green, turquoise, aqua blue, purple, pink, white, primrose yellow and cornflower blue materials. The hoop has a lime green daisy-chain braid finish.
The mobile is approximately 75cm/29inches long and 23cm/9inchs wide, including a tie loop.
Spot cleaning with mild soap is recommended.
This mobile is for decoration and is not recommended as a toy. To admire it at its best hang it in a window and see the reflective mirrors dance around the room.
